***** EDIT *****
I have attached below the response from the electrical company responsible for the work I’ve posted about before.
They have taken responsibility to the failings and are making good 👍🏻. However, they did fail to mention that they hadn’t earthed the aluminium (sorry thin steel) flexible enclosure.
A couple of things I’ll like to point out:
The National Grid have been installing 80A main fuses for a while, how come a new build company are not diligently aware of this?
This company’s excuse and choice using a dual RCD board over an RCBO board is clearly about putting markup before doing the correct thing.
The use of a dual RCD board is allowed however in this situation an RCBO board will always be the better option.

What is the complete guff about RCDs and a 60mA and 270mA shock current???
For those unsure:
The current (shock) is the current generated by a fault, an RCD does not not limit current, but will activate once 30mA(ish) or higher imbalanced is sensed.
An RCD provides shock protection by limiting duration not current.
If this is now the norm in new builds then I will not be buying one unless I commission a 3rd party, fully qualified and competent electrician (not a cowboy) to conduct an electrical report (EICR), before I part with any money.
First time this customer would’ve known there was a problem it would be when they came to sell or get a report conducted and it failed.
Who’s responsibility would it be then, who would have to pay for it then? Unfortunately the customer.
———————————————————-
A small emergency call-out on this beautiful sunny Sunday, unfortunately the customer drilled through the main tails supplying the house.
Because the original installer of this brand new building never installed the correct protection at the cutout it popped the main house fuse
Also what can be seen is scorch marks on the building foil, this is because the original installer has not earthed the metallic cable enclosure. The fault current then arced/sparked across to to the foil backed insulation on its way in finding a path to earth.
